In a significant development, Uttar Pradesh witnesses the inauguration of 928 government schools equipped with modern facilities as part of the PM SHRI (Shikshit, Harit, Roshan, and Inclusive) scheme.
The inauguration ceremony, led by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, marked the first phase of the scheme.
The PM SHRI initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure of schools, introducing features like Baalvatika, smart classrooms, science labs, digital libraries, and sports facilities. Out of a total of 1,753 schools selected for the PM SHRI upgrade in the state, 928 have been covered in the initial phase, including 81 Kendriya/Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.
